Avaneesh Marwaha, President
As President, Avaneesh is responsible for leading Microsystems as it continues to grow in market impact and influence. He drives the entire team at Microsystems to deliver truly leading-edge solutions for our customers and challenges them to improve every function across the business.
In his prior role, Avaneesh served as the Chief Operating Officer of Nexonia. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the company’s expansion to become a multinational company, while increasing customer focus and streamlining product development. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Keno Kozie, where he doubled size and revenues of the organization in just three years.
Avaneesh's diverse experience in the legal profession makes him a perfect fit to lead Microsystems through its next stage of growth. Earlier in his career he was a practicing attorney, general counsel, and entrepreneur. He leveraged this experience selling to law firms, ranging from small regional firms to the Am Law 100. Avaneesh earned his JD from the Valparaiso University School of Law and a BS in biology from Bradley University. He is an active member of the legal and local community, serving on several local, national, and professional boards.
David Cook, Chief Technology Officer, Product Development
David works to establish and drive development of the company’s product roadmap. He is responsible for creating agile development methods within the development group and has presided over all investments in people and products that Microsystems has made since 2013.
David joined the company in 2013 as Director of Product Development. Since then, he and his team have engineered major upgrades to DocXtools, EagleEye, and 3BClean and delivered the company’s first ever cloud-based product, Patent Companion with word trends®.
Earlier in his career David held escalating positions in consulting, software development, and engineering with Andersen Consulting, IBM, Motorola, SmartSignal, and GE. In addition to his tireless work innovating products for Microsystems, David is an avid inventor, innovator, and author of two textbooks on robotics, “Robot Building for Beginners” and “Intermediate Robot Building.”
David earned his BS degree in natural sciences and mathematics from Thomas Edison State College.
Ed Tomczuk, Chief Financial Officer
Ed is in charge of all things financial at Microsystems and is responsible for streamlining financial management systems to achieve maximum efficiency. Additionally, Ed oversees all administrative functions including human resources. In this role he manages a team focused on enhancing Microsystems great workplace culture with the goal of making the company one of the best places to work nationwide.
Ed joined Microsystems in 2015, having worked previously at Smart Signal and GE. Earlier in his career, he held escalating positions in corporate finance and accounting at companies such as BOC Gasses, J.D. Edwards, and Pitney Bowes.
Ed is a licensed CPA and earned his BA in business administration from Governor’s State University.
Dan Dosen, Vice President, Business Development
Dan is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships for Microsystems. He brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise content management, both as a customer and technology provider.
Prior to joining Microsystems, he was Vice President of Product Management at SpringCM, where he was responsible for defining product strategy and direction. Previously, Dan served as Vice President of Sales Engineers and Channels at the iManage Business Unit of Autonomy Corporation, plc., where he managed more than 100 reseller and consulting partners, and oversaw Sales Engineering for risk and governance solutions. Earlier in his career, Dan held key technology positions at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal and Premark International.
Dan earned his BS in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.
Travis Leon, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Travis is responsible for driving Microsystems global new business operations, developing key relationships with clients, and contributing to general strategy decisions.
Prior to joining Microsystems, Travis co-founded XRef to assist law firms in dealing with competing market pressures by leveraging technology to more efficiently and cost-effectively achieve excellence in legal drafting. The combination of Travis’ insights, expertise, and momentum with Microsystems customer experience and operational scale will further accelerate the delivery of innovative and market-leading products to the legal industry.
Previously, Travis qualified and practiced as a solicitor in the Derivatives and Structured Products Group at Linklaters in London.
Travis graduated with Distinction PgDL from Nottingham Law School, and also earned a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Nottingham.
Julian Morgan, Director, Marketing
As the Director of Marketing at Microsystems, Julian works across the sales and product functions to ensure that the company maximizes success in traditional markets, while proactively pursuing opportunities in new ones. Drawing on more than 15 years of experience working in senior roles for technology companies, including British Telecom, Julian has a wide range of sales and product experience and a commercial view of how marketing can help drive the business forward.
Prior to Microsystems, Julian worked at LexisNexis UK as the Head of Drafting Applications for Lexis Draft—the UK version of Microsystems Contract Companion product, which was created in partnership with LexisNexis. In this role he was responsible for P&L, product development, marketing, and sales activity. During his time with LexisNexis, Julian established the UK proofreading technology market and helped drive Lexis Draft’s success as the multi-award winning market leader.
