New
in 2008 for Knowledge Partnership
Microsystems is proud to announce its list of new software, training and education for Knowledge Partnership that is coming in 2008.
New software additions for Knowledge Partnership in 2008 include:
- Major new release of DocXtools (v6)—Targeted for release in April, DocXtools v6 leverages the XML technology available in Word 2007 and Word 2003 to deliver a host of new features as well as greatly accelerated performance. In addition, existing customizations you have made to your DocXtools v5 toolbar can be migrated to v6. If you are already using Office 2003 or if you are planning a move to Office 2007, watch for notification of previews of this new functionality soon.
- Automatically style documents based on your firm standard.
- Expanded SEC/EDGAR functionality—DocXtools v6 includes enhanced SEC/EDGAR clean-up and reformatting functionality that will help overcome the most difficult issues encountered when producing an SEC document.
- Improved Cross-Referencing functionality—DocXtools v6 includes more robust and intuitive cross-reference rebuilding functionality.
- Enhanced Pre-Hire Skills Assessment Module—Used to assess the advanced Microsoft Word skills of prospective new hires within secretarial, word processing and help desk areas, the Microsystems Pre-Hire Skills.
- Assessment Module is being enhanced to assess even more Legal-specific Word skills.

training Webinars—Beginning
January 21, we will deliver DocXtools training Webinars that provide our
customers' most Word-savvy users with powerful, creative ways to use DocXtools
to tackle challenging document issues. See

- DocXtools "How To" videos—These 30 second to 3 minute
pre-recorded videos will provide users of any level of Word knowledge with
easy-to-learn ways to use DocXtools to tackle the most common document
challenges. Available for viewing in February on the Microsystems Web site.
- Document
production education Webinars—On January 29, we launch a Webinar series that addresses the most
current and pressing document production challenges. Topics currently planned
include: "Best Practices from Office 2007 Early Adopters;" "Skills Assessment
Workshop;" "The Roles of XML and VBA in Office 2007." See

- Office Hours
with Microsystems—On January
31, we will launch a Webinar series that identifies and discusses document
production insights and trends, plus answers questions provided by attendees.
