Microsoft Word 2007 Sample Ribbon Gallery
For Document Analysis & Clean Up

Design Goal
The Expert Tools (DocXtools™) Tab on the Ribbon presents a full array of precision tools for document analysis, clean-up, repair and formatting for any type of document challenge, from scanned or PDF clean-up to complex 400-page documents.
How it Works
With the Expert Tools Tab on the Ribbon, a Word Processor or Help Desk Support person can easily:
- Rapidly "Discover" document issues, no matter the size or complexity of the document. "Discover" provides easy access to information on what the issue is, how it may affect the document and how to fix it.
- Verify a Word document is ready for migration to a specific versions of Word, PDF generation, EDGAR/modernized HTML or California Pleading with the "Ready?" button.
- Fix document quality issues of an external document with the "Quick Clean" button.
- Thoroughly clean and reconcile formatting with the "Make it a Firm Document" button, inheriting the firm's style collection and best practices.
- Quickly access "Super Tools," which brings forward specific cleaning routines like "Remove Char Styles," "Reflow Selected Text," and more.
- Launch the "Toolkit," together with "Do It Yourself Cleanup," in the Word task pane and easily store favorite default clean-up sets, including the ability to eliminate unused numbering and delete list templates, features not possible in native Word. The task pane workspace eliminates obscurity and provides the control to roam the document and apply fixes.
- Change the Word version of the document you are working on. If you have opened a Word 2003 document in 2007, the "Compatibility" button will change the compatibility to 2007.
- Quickly apply styles of any category–numbered, bulleted, title text or body text - by "Scanning for patterns." We've made the "Quick Styles" gallery from native Word 2007 accessible here to easily visualize available styles.
- Update the document into the firm's Normal template, clean-up legacy styles and formatting practices with "Update Styles."
- Use the "Comparison Intervention" tool to intervene when a comparison report or resulting document (in the case of using Word 2007's native comparison) delivers unexpected results or fails to complete.
- Identify cross reference candidates and targets and automate the building or rebuilding of these with the "Cross-References" tool.
